I have a new book for you to check out. It is called “The Bravest Boy I Ever Knew”. This book is about a boy nmaed Michael who tells about his best friend who is disabled. In this story Michael tells about the things his best friend CAN do not what he CAN’T. We need books like this one to teach our children that just because someone is disabled that doesn’t mean thay can’t have the same likes, interests, dislikes, and talents as other people. You can find this book on Amazon as well as tatepublishing.com/bookstore. Happy reading!

Lisa,
How about you write a ‘just 1 book’ post for the site, and we’ll share it then?! Sounds like a fabulous book–and if you’re up for it, that’d be awesome!!

Hi Amy, I’d love to be added to your list of blogs. Mine is an up and coming blog, still pretty new and growing as far as content and viewers are concerned. I love your site/blog and have totally showcased this yummy goodness on my home page (thanks for the button;^)). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know you’re awesome and one day my mind will hold as much creativity as yours! BTW, I met you at a Silver Spring Mochas meeting when you presented. Thanks for everything!

I love reading your blog. You have wonderful ideas, and I love all the sneaky little ways you work in teaching time during the daily moments. I recently purchased a daily divided pill organizer for my children’s vitamins because of you! And I’m working on our December Activity Book right now, inspired by your Advent Activity Calendar.

I wondered if you wouldn’t mind sharing your gift suggestions? I have a 6 yr. old girl, 3 yr. old girl, and 8 month old boy. The 3 yr. old is the one stumping me right now, since thanks to the oldest sister we already have all the essential basics of baby dolls, play food/kitchen, puzzles, blocks, books, etc. I trust your opinions, and I would value your suggestions.

Thanks!

Kristi–
You are TOO sweet! Many, many thanks for your kind words. They mean so much–you have no idea.

I’m working on a post now that will feature some of our ‘favorites’–books, toys, etc. I’ve had so many people email me asking for the same thing you are, that I’m totally flattered–but I’m totally swamped with a ton of other things, too! I’ll do my best to get it out by this weekend, my friend.

Many thanks–

Hi Amy,
My name is Robin Rosenberg and I’ve recently published a children’s book titled Brookie Cookie Bookie. It’s about friendship, acceptance and celebrating our differences. It’s available through my website (www.brookiecookiebookie.org) and on amazon.com. How can I get you to review it on your blog? Can I send you a copy? These days, with all of the bullying taking place among our children, I think it’s more important than ever to teach our children about acceptance – and equally as important to start this conversation at a very young age.
Thank in advance!
Best,

Robin Rosenberg

Hi Amy,

Have been looking around your awesome site and would love to write a “Guest Post” or two for you on children’s meditation for schools and parents. Our new web site http://www.rainbowcrystalconnection.com is dedicated to helping parents, teachers and schools, deal with the issues related to the “wellbeing” of today’s kids.

Your site is such a handy stop for teachers and parents, we will be sure to pass it on to all the teachers we work with, well done and keep it up!

Kerrie

I just wanted to know your thoughts on Dr.Seuss books that make up silly words that rhyme but really have no meaning and aren’t even a word at all. Sometimes when I read a gaggle of crazy words that are made up something in me cringes because if my five year old was talking like that I would correct him. I know that there is a time to be silly and time to be socially acceptable. Anyway, I just wanted to run this by you and see what you have to say.

Perhaps I just need to lighten up.

Of course, who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss? Right?

Hi Amy,
I really wanted to use Brady’s best dog treats with my kids at school but I’m not comfortable with the acceptance on the scribe site to download it. Is there any way you could send it to me as an attachment? Love keeping up with you and the kids on your blog!
