new for us friday: channel

This New For Us Friday is a quickie little something fun and new for us that we’re really excited about.

Though I’ve thrown a handful of videos up on the ole YouTube, and I’ve had a teachmama channel up for several years now, I have finally decided to change things up a bit and get serious about the video thing.

I’m going to try to include one a week–a lofty goal–so if you like ‘em, super, and if you don’t then feel free to pass.

The reason I’m going this route is simple: YouTube is rockin! Tons of people–including me!–play around on YouTube everyday, so why not throw some love up there more regularly, too?

So I plan to add some Quick Tricks, some read-aloud learning bits, and a whole lot of fun learning with kids. . .

  • Here’s the trailer. . . for channel: Pleeeeeease let me know what you think!

The soundtrack is called ‘Medal Ceremony’ which immediately caught my eye since it sounded so . . . official.

Because sometimes? I really feel like someone should give me a medal at the end of the day. But instead I’m usually handed a pretty messy house, three kids ready for a bath, and a sink full of dishes. And a couple of pretty good hugs.

Check us out–and please let us know what you think!

  1. Amazing! The sound track is the best… Wouldn’t it be great if that could play in our minds at the end of each day :) Wonderfully done… I can’t wait to see more :)

    • Stacey!! YES!! I somedays DO play that soundtrack at the end of the day, as I’m walking downstairs from tucking the kids in, right before I collapse on the couch. You don’t? :) Thanks, friend!!

  2. Teachmama,
Love the video and love the idea! I didn’t know you had videos too and look forward to checking them out (and seeing what you create in the future). I love your ideas because they are so practical! I have 3 kiddos too and every bit helps doesn’t it? Thanks for taking the time to share with the rest of us.

    • thanks SO much, Wendy!! I totally appreciate your kind words and am looking forward to this adventure–thanks for riding along with us!!

  3. Awesome girl! I don’t know how you do it all. The video is perfect…almost made me cry! Why, you ask? Well, sweet laughing kid voices always make me so dang happy I could cry! Seriously, I was always the teacher at PTA performances crying…always crying when my students were doing reader’s theaters…you get the picture. LOVED IT! I can’t wait for the videos to start!

    • Brandy–You are so totally sweet. Thanks so much. You and I both, girl, you and I both–I’m a crier and there’s no denying it. Two emotional girls, we are!

  4. The music and giggles were great! Can’t wait to see what you do. Video is a great outlet

    • thanks, Melitsa!! Totally appreciate your kind words–and we DO need to catch up soon, my friend!!

  5. Oh, what a wonderful video! I think I have software to make my videos more splashy but I haven’t tried yet, this inspires me to figure it out! Thanks so much, what fun! Carolyn
