I’ve said it before, but this is the summer I’m really leaning on Maddy, Owen, and Cora as my contributors.
They are three of the smartest, coolest kids I know, and they have opinions I truly trust.
This week, I’ve got Maddy taking the reigns, sharing great books for 9 year olds.
Maddy is one of the most well-read people I know. She reads every, single night before bed, and I can barely keep up. I’ve tried. And I’ve failed.
So Maddy’s got a few books together that she is convinced that 9 year olds will love.
Here’s the skinny. . .
Great Books for 9 Year Olds, by Maddy Mascott:

I liked this book because of how exciting it is with all the dramatic flairs, as Anna discovers the secret of a strange girl.
This book is very touching as you follow an average girl through her tough times.
I chose this book because you get to learn about cool and spunky Marty and follow her through elementary school.
In this book, you can join the rescue princesses as they sit through glamorous balls all day, but at night they work hard to save the animals.
I absolutely love this book because it takes four normal kids and forces them together through a frightening adventure.
This book is sequel to the book above, and this time, the kids face even more trouble.
The spotlight is on Jules as she deals with mean girls, new girls, and even a commercial audition.
I love the each of the girls–Darby, Delany, and Delaney–because they love presidents and hate being the angles becauseย they think they should be the three wise men in their Christmas pageant. ย Read and see how the sassy triplets handle any situation.
Coco is super-classy and fun. ย You get to join her as she cooks her way into finding an unexpected friend.
This book has endless cliffhangers that keep you on the edge of your seat, wishing that you could be part of the Cahill family and joining in on their adventures.
