Are you. . .

  • Throwing a summer bash in a few weeks and want cute invites?
  • Going to a conference this summer and need new business cards?
  • Moving to a new house and want to share your new addy with pals?
  • Having a bambino and want to spread the new baby news with friends and family?
  • Feeling like you’re drowning in kid photos? Want to organize them in a photo book?

This New For Us Friday I’m not sharing a new fruit or veggie or activity or craft we’ve tackled over here.

I’m not sharing out-of-this world news or anything really that royally crazy. But what I am sharing had me super-excited and dancing around in my kitchen.

It’s about my brand-spankin’ new business cards from Tiny Prints. Love them.

And our friends at Tiny Prints are giving away $75 worth of products to a teach mama reader this week, good for anything at all–invitations, business cards, birth announcements, photo books, you name it.ย  With free shipping. How awesome?!

I know there are a million other companies to turn to for these types of things, but Tiny Prints is top-notch and is the one place I believe trumps all others. And I’m not just saying this because Tiny Prints has partnered with we teach this past year. I’d say it even if we weren’t partners.

Here’s why:

  • Tiny Prints Love: I haveย  really hard time making decisions, so when I sat down for the gazillionth time to make my business cards, I logged on to the Tiny Prints site and literally tried five designs before I found one I wanted to go with.

My happy, happy business cards right next to my happy, happy ‘thank you’ note from Tiny Prints.

Very easily, I uploaded several images that I thought I’d use, and those images were saved for every design I tried. So awesome.

I went with the Bold Bliss in deep turquoise, but each design I tried–the Unique Style, Modern Geometry, Chic Band, Fresh Logo, and Retail Expert–are all still saved in my account in case I want to use them next time.

Once my design was saved and I gave it the ‘go’, a day or two later I received a phone call from my Tiny Prints representative who had some questions about my design. She was working on my card and noticed that I left a comment in the comment box.ย  Really!?? Someone looks at that? I was pleasantly surprised!

She agreed with my request adjust the default font size for the ‘teach’ and ‘mama’ and helped find fonts to mirror what I use on my site.ย  She worked to find just the right one and just the right size.ย  She also suggested I change a few things on the inside so that it was more symmetrical and looked better; she made the fonts and colors jive, and honestly, she was just as excited about the final product as I was.

What sets this company apart from others is not necessarily the wide range of styles and incredible quality of the products but the outstanding customer service.ย  Really? A phone call? And a ‘thank you’ note two days after she and I spoke? W. O. W.

Overall, hereโ€™s what I love about Tiny Prints:

  • the customer serviceโ€“aware, professional, and thoughtful–you don’t get that everywhere;
  • the variety of designsโ€“thereโ€™s something for everyoneโ€“and then some!;
  • the quick, customizable processโ€“with a few clicks, photos are uploaded, fonts are changed, and the product totally rocks;
  • the affordabilityโ€“you can find something for every budget here–no joke;
  • the easy-to-contact, easy-to-find helpโ€“you can find Tiny Prints on Twitter, or on Facebook, or on the Tiny Prints blog ;
  • the thank you noteโ€“YES!โ€“the woman I worked with actually sent me a Thank You note for working with Tiny Prints. I want to hug her. . .
  • the qualityโ€“these cards are true quality–they’ll hold up through my conference travels and speaking engagements, and (of course) when my kids steal them and use them as tickets;
  • the customer serviceโ€“did I mention the customer service? It’s fab and it makes a difference to know that the people really care about your design, want to uphold the integrity of your idea, and want to see you happy.

We wish:

  • that everyone would check out Tiny Prints–because really, everyone will love them.
  • that I would have used Tiny Prints before now–what was I thinking?!

    While my son who has autism is not homeschooled, I am always checking in with teachmama.com to see how I can augment his ongoing education as well as my ‘about to enter the 7th grade’ daughter. I love how you encourage your readers and still recognize that we are human and make mistakes and so too are our children and they will make mistakes (it is our job to help them learn from the mistakes).

    Anyway, $75 will boost my new endeavour, for in addition to being a full-time high school teacher here in sunny Jamaica, I help plan and organize the entertainment for children’s parties, bridal and baby showers. and I want to staert giving great business cards that declare me to be the PartyGuru!!

    Bless you and your beautiful family and this fabulous website!!

    I would buy wedding invitations. My fiance is in the Air Force & since this will be an encore wedding for us both, we are keeping it very small and informal…just close friends and immediate family. We weren’t really planning on even doing invitations because of the small size as well as our limited budget but if I won, I would totally spurge on invitations.

    My son and I are also having to move half way across the country to be with my future hubby. I could also use the $75 towards updated social cards to give to all the new friends we’ll be meeting!

    My mind is a buzz of how I could use them. I could design some Radtke Custom cards…been keeping it simple so far as is the style of the company. I could do some mom cards because with 3 girls, we run into alot of kids that want to have playdates with us. I could create some FPT (Front Porch Therapy) cards to help keep us all connected. I’m excited about the different styles. I’m going to go and wander around there site for a while.

Hello, Teacher Wish List.

You are welcome here. In fact, we are incredibly glad that youโ€™ve made your way into our culture.

Youโ€™re like the Wedding Registry or Baby Registryโ€“but better.

You are a dream because you are the list that gives and gives and gives. Youโ€™re not full of weird kitchen appliances or ugly China patterns or tiny baby Air Jordans. You are made of books, pens, pencils, journals, math manipulatives, bulletin board letters, lab goggles, staplers, and hole punchers.

You are helping to equip and educate the youth of the world and are taking a tiny bit of stress off of the shoulders of our educators. And we all know that our educatorsโ€“especially in the last few yearsโ€“have been stretched to the absolute max. They are tired, worn down, and stepped on. Theyโ€™re pushed and pulled every which way and are expected to do the job of 27 different people.

What an amazing thing you are, you little Classroom Wish List! Just a simple Amazon Wish List, you let us all feel like we are helping in a teeny way, and we thank you.

We hope you never, ever leave and that youโ€™re here to stay.

Sincerely,

Everyone

Friends, if you have an extra $5 or $10 that you could spare to help some amazing educators, we would be SO GRATEFUL.

Head on over to find out what I'm talking about and to learn how you can help.

And? If you're a teacher, add YOUR list to the mix so it gets more eyes (and more support!)

WHAT. A. YEAR!

The @advancementcourses teACh Team has ROCKED it again this year, and I am so glad that youโ€™ve been along for the ride!

Every few weeks, we connected on Facebook or IG Lives, and we discussed:

โœ”๏ธ what makes Professional Development most effective;

โœ”๏ธ school administrators and teachers leading post-pandemic;

โœ”๏ธ our current top picks for childrenโ€™s books;

โœ”๏ธsupporting students who have experienced trauma;

โœ”๏ธ culturally responsive classrooms and components of special education;

โœ”๏ธ school and district-wide Professional Development options with Advancement Courses.

Itโ€™s been a BLASTโ€”and though our core team includes @teaching3rdwithmrg @techninjatodd @topdogteaching and me, we have also had guests like @stopparentingalone @laliquin @lisa.lightner.ig and more!

Please tell us your fave topics and what you would like to see more of next year!

Catch the replays here:
