It’s Cora’s turn up to bat, friends.
Since Maddy and Owen have both been guest contributing this summer, you better believe that my Cora needed a turn, too.
Cora thought it would be wise to let parents in on a few of her favorite shows. These are shows that are geared toward kids ages 8-12 years old, and they are some of her favorites.
I always found that it was difficult to move from the sweet and easy Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger days to the next chapter: finding smart programming for 6 – 9 year olds and then beyond.
As you can probably tell by Cora’s list, our family tends to get comfortable with one channel–and then we stick with it.
Without further ado, here’s the skinny. . .
Good Shows for Kids 8-12 Years Old, by Cora Mascott:
Many of my friends believe that there are so many choices today–so many options for tweens–but I am not so sure. It seems like channels are either gearing programs a bit too young or a bit too old, and I believe strongly that we don’t need to rush our kids into adulthood.
I’d love to hear what you think!
