How about we join forces with the people in our neighborhood for a Spirit Month? Let’s get everyone together–but apart–this month for some spirit-filled fun!
Neighborhood Spirit Week? YOU BET!
We don’t have to be together to have fun. We can show our unity from the comfort of our homes.
Here’s the skinny. . .
Neighborhood Spirit Week — Let’s Be Together, but Apart, in April
It’s simple: all you have to do is share this flier with neighbors, and the party’s already started!
Share it on Facebook, on Instagram, on Twitter. Share it on your community. I’m excited about it, and so are the folks in my neighborhood.
Here’s our plan–
Week 1, 3/30 – 4/5 — Jokes on Mailbox
It’s April Fool’s Week, so let’s post a funny joke (or two!) on our driveway or mailbox this week. Any day works–and you can even add jokes as the week goes on. Imagine how FUNNY neighborhood walks will be!!
Week 2, 4/6 – 4/12 — Egg Hunt
Since Easter is this week, let’s put as many eggs in our windows and front yard as we can! That way, the children of the neighborhood an go for walks and see ALL of the ‘hidden’ eggs! And? Keep your eyes out for TWO GOLDEN EGGS throughout the ‘hood! Can you find them?
Week 3, 4/14 – 4/19 — Let’s Get Tropical
Tropical flowers, leis, palm trees, warm beaches, sun, and sand. . . wouldn’t it be wonderful? Let’s bring the tropics to our neighborhood, friends! Decorate your windows and yard with a bit of the tropics. . . and let’s bring the islands HERE since we’re not going anywhere soon!
Week 4, 4/20 – 4/26 — Earth Week
It’s Earth Week, so let’s be extra kind to Mother Earth! Bring a bag on your walks this week to pick up trash that you find, and do a little something to beautify your yard!
On Wednesday, 4/22, Earth Day, make a ‘Nature Face’ out of sticks, grass, stones, and/or flowers on your driveway! Share your photos on our Facebook page, and use your imagination!
Week 5, 4/27 – 5/3 — Superhero Psyche-Up
Let’s harness our superhero powers to get us through this funny time! Share encouraging ‘superhero’ messages on your windows and driveway for all to see. Maybe even spread some ‘superhero psyche-up’ messages throughout the neighborhood and on some hidden Kindness Rocks!
